Quiet Waters Park - Nestled between the South River and Harness Creek, Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis offers a wide variety of family activities. Anne Arundel County Fair - The annual fair features carnival rides, livestock and poultry shows and vendors. It also includes live music performances by regional folk and country-western singers, a senior citizens talent show, cutest kid and pie-eating competitions and a Fair Ambassador Contest for boys and girls

Maryland Renaissance Festival - Held on weekends during a two-month period, the festival offers Renaissance art, theater, food, games, crafts, dancing and music. First Night Annapolis - This alcohol-free, all-arts New Year's Eve celebration offers theatrical, dance and music performances, poetry and crafts workshops, face painting, comedy and storytelling. Events are held throughout downtown and historic Annapolis.
